Intense, ruby-red color with nice transparency. The nose reveals fresh, nearly-juiced, fruit with cherry and strawberry prevailing. Spicy nuances of pepper, as well as violets, enhance the bouquet. Full-bodied but not heavy thanks to tightly-knit, yet not-aggressive, tannins. Crisp but well-balanced acidity and effectively-containing alcohol. Lovely, succulent, clean finish.

The Renieri estate extends over about 120 hectares, of which 30 are dedicated to vineyards. Renieri is located in the southern part of the territory of Montalcino, facing Monte Amiata. The vineyards are at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level with a 360-degree exposure, from east to northwest The soils at Renieri estate are predominately volcanic, with calcareous soils and stone interfingered with red clay and tuffs. The varietal is, of course, Sangiovese for our Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. There is a small production of Syrah that is released in purity as well as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot for IGT wines. The cellar is almost entirely underground. In this way we use gravity system to move the grapes and take advantage of natural and perfect temperature for aging the wines.
