New and Old World wines from carefully selected wineries. It is a great honour for ZEBRA WINES to be able to provide unique experiences to Czech lovers of the finest wines. Our current offer includes the following traditional regions and wineries::

Cape Town (South Africa)

  • Spier 1692 - one of the largest and oldest wineries in Stellenbosch known for its ethical and sustainable activities
  • Meerlust - traditional local wine farm from Stellenbosch, owned by the Myburgh family continuously since 1756
  • La Bri - a local winery from the picturesque Franschhoek valley, known for producing small but high quality series of wines 
  • La Couronne - Franschhoek winery refers to the French Huguenots, outstanding winemakers who landed in the Cape in 1688
  • Lynx Estate - The authentic wine farm is located on the border of the Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek wine regions
  • Wildeberg - a winery in the heart of the Franschhoek valley that produces its own Wildeberg Terroirs wines of exceptional origin
  • Cape Wine Company -was founded in 2010 by Erlank Erasmus – qualified winemaker – on a quest to share the exceptional wines produced in the Cape Winelands of South Africa – with wine lovers across the world.

 

Tuscany (Italy)

  • Castello di Bossi - a winery with a perfect blend of innovation and tradition, producing, among others, the famous Chianti
  • Renieri - covers 128 hectares in the southern quadrant of Montalcino, where the famous Brunello di Montalcino is made
  • Terre di Talamo -  is located south of Grosseto, in the Tuscan Maremma. The D.O.C.G. is Morellino di Scansano.

    The grapes for this lightly-wooded Chardonnay came from Robertson. The wine was partially fermented and matured in mostly second-fill oak barrels. One third of the wine was fermented in stainless steel and blended in to ensure freshness and to retain the zippy citrusy flavour so typical of Chardonnay.

    The nose is delicate, slightly dusty and very alluring with ample dark fruit, graphite and pencil lead aromas and hints of sandalwood, tobacco, anise and bay leaf creating complexity. The palate is so smooth and lithe with layers of juicy blueberry and classic cassis flavours balanced with smoky, earthy nuances. The wine is juicy and supple with attractive acidity to balance and enough fullness and complexity on the mid-palate. It is classic in style, pliant and opulent, yet textured and elegant with its lush, smooth, cocoa-powdery tannin structure. The finish is long and herbaceous with beautiful, focused cedar oak nuances – a mouth-watering wine with finesse and class.

    The nose is rich and complex with aromas of youngberry, mulberry, damson and wild strawberry and gentle whiffs of smoke and sweet spice. The palate is very refined and polished, with the ripe red fruits of the nose following through with a delicate garrigue character and a smooth texture. Notes of lavender and thyme, precision and finesse on the mid-palate and very fine-grained, powdery tannins make for a very classic Cabernet. The wine is medium-bodied, structured, focused and balanced, with attractive, refreshing acidity. Black fruit, aniseed, cloves, pipe tobacco and cardamon, linger on the finish with hints of graphite.
