This wine has aromas of white pear, melon and apricot with mineral notes. It has an interesting viscosity that covers the taste. Well integrated oak gives the wine a spicy complexity and depth of flavour.

Vintage: 2021

Grape variety: 85% Chenin Blanc, 15% Viognier

Vineyeard

The grapes came from vineyards in the Paarl area, which are planted on decayed granite soils and are irrigated by drip irrigation. The vineyards bring great expression to this variety.

Winemaking

These grapes were harvested by hand very early in the morning from mid to late February to preserve their natural flavour. Only free-flowing juice was used, fermented 50% in stainless steel and 50% in aged French oak barrels for 6 months before blending and bottling.

Food pairing

Asian-style seafood, bouillabaisse, tasty fish like salmon or sole. Creamed chicken or Peking duck. Vegan friendly.
