Description
WINEMAKER’S NOTE
Grapes were sourced from the best vineyards in the Western Cape. The wine was fermented in a combination of stainless steel & concrete tanks with two gentle pump overs a day. It was then matured in oak for 16 months with 20% of the wine aged in first-fill French barriques.
TASTING NOTE
Plums, cherries and mulberries on the nose with hints of warm baking spices. The palate has a juicy fruit core and good concentration with velvety tannins and some oak complexity. The finish is long, smooth and pleasantly dry.
FOOD PAIRING
PThis full-bodied wine partners well with darkly braised lamb shoulder on long grain rice with red cabbage & bacon kimchi or seared duck breast & mixed baby leaves salad with potato stack.
