Ayama Wines

Ayama Grenache Blanc is a fresh white wine from Voor Paardeberg, South Africa, made from 100% Grenache Blanc. It shows a pale straw colour with bright aromas of green apple and mandarin orange. The palate offers clean citrus, mineral notes, a touch of peach, and a hint of liquorice on the lingering finish. Full-bodied with crisp acidity, it pairs beautifully with flavourful dishes, fish, lamb, and spiced foods of Moroccan, Spanish, Indian, or Asian origin

Delicate pink colour. Fresh and vibrant on the nose with notes of passion fruit and lychee. Delicately fruity with citrus hints and notes of grapefruit, orange peel, strawberry and roses. Mineral and refreshing

Full aroma of Muscat, with notes of yellow peach, lime blossom, sage and honey. The delicate sweetness is balanced by fresh citrus and floral notes.

Limpid straw-yellow colour. The nose is intense and recalls white peaches and apricots, with notes of exotic fruits. The taste is dry with a persistent minerality. Velvet on the palate, with good freshness. The final is clean and persistent.

Ayama Cabernet Sauvignon Old Vine comes from vineyards planted in 1988 in the Voor Paardeberg area of South Africa. The wine shows an intense ruby-red colour with aromas of spices, cloves, and sour cherry. On the palate, it recalls marasca cherries in spirit with subtle pepper notes. The tannins are very elegant and well-balanced. Aged for 9 months in large oak casks, this wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats, mature cheeses, wild mushrooms, or grilled vegetables

Ayama Chenin Blanc Old Vine comes from vineyards planted in 1986 in the Voor Paardeberg area of South Africa. It shows a straw yellow colour with warm aromas of baked apple, laurel, and linden flowers. The palate offers notes of mandarin and ripe mango, with a soft, buttery texture and a persistent mineral finish. The wine is aged for 6 months in second-passage 500-litre tonneaux with weekly bâtonnage, followed by 6 months of bottle ageing. Perfect with mussels, chicken curry, roasted pork, or fried lamb chops

Ayama Petite Sirah comes from the Voor Paardeberg area in South Africa, made from 100% Petite Sirah. The wine displays a deep, dark ruby colour with rich aromas of sweet black berry fruit, blueberry, chocolate, baking spices, and cigar notes. The palate is full-bodied and round, showing ripe berry notes, leather, cocoa, anise, and cinnamon. It is aged for 9 months in 500-litre barrels. Perfect with braised or grilled meats, stews, or roasted lamb

Concentrated ruby crimson in colour, a full fruity wine with flavours of ripe plums and cherries, rich with a persistent finish with aromas of overripe berries, blackcurrants, and an earthy undertone, a harmonious balance noted and elegant structure.
