100% Shiraz from Swartland.

Vineyard

Grapes sourced from a distinct selection of dry-land vineyard in Swartland on predominantly Koffie klipCoffee-stone soils.

Winemaking

Grapes were handpicked, destalked, lightly crushed and cold-soaked for 24 hours. After being frementedon the skins in open fermenters with frequent punch-downs malolacic fermentation was completed inFrench oak barrels. The wine was then racked and sent to 30% new barrels for 12 months.

Food pairing

Roast leg of lamb, ribeye steak, grilled pork and aged soft and hard cheeses.
